The David K. Dunlap Golf Classic

Our mission is to honor David Dunlap’s legacy, enjoy the camaraderie and competition of a first class golf outing, and generate money for worthy causes through the David K. Dunlap Foundation. The money raised by this year’s event will be donated to support the Ohio State University Volleyball program.

Ohio State University Volleyball

Ken Dunlap started the OSU volleyball program in the 1960’s with many challenges as he moved it from a club sport to a varsity sport. Following his coaching years, he continued to give back to volleyball and to OSU. He organized the “Sports Imports Invitational” in 1981 to gain notoriety for the little known sport. (Dave and Doug served as ball boys for that tournament.) Ken also built a business from knowledge gained while coaching. When Dave took over the family business, he was also committed to giving back to a program that had such a profound impact on the Dunlap family.

Ohio State Volleyball plans to host an invitational volleyball tournament named after Dave and Ken Dunlap. While this event is in the early planning stages, our foundation will support the Ohio State Volleyball program however possible. Your donations will help make this a reality. We truly appreciate your support for the Dunlap legacy.

DKD Project Heart Start

In the past, the DKD Foundation purchased Automated External Defibrillators (AED) for various organizations, schools, churches and other facilities. Your generous donations placed 32 devices in our local community. While this is a worthy endeavor, we are changing focus this year to help support the Ohio State University Volleyball program — one that has meant so much to the Dunlap family.
